FAQ ABOUT ARTIFICAL / SYNTHETIC SEAWATER, US AND ASTM SEAWATER
No, we do not supply artificial seawater from ASTM. We do sell artificial seawater, but we use different techniques than ASTM. Partly because of this, our artificial seawater is cheaper.

Artificial seawater, a man-made solution that mimics the composition of natural seawater, offers a range of benefits for various applications, especially in environmental science and marine research. One of its primary advantages is its ability to support marine life in controlled environments, such as aquariums or aquaculture facilities. By creating a stable and consistent marine environment, artificial seawater enables researchers to study marine organisms in a setting that closely replicates their natural habitat, without the need to harvest or deplete natural resources.
Additionally, artificial seawater plays a key role in the restoration of coral reefs. Scientists use it to cultivate and transplant coral species to areas where natural conditions are no longer suitable due to pollution or climate change. By providing a stable, controlled medium, artificial seawater helps nurture coral growth and increases the chances of successful reef restoration.
Another important benefit is its use in desalination research. Artificial seawater serves as a model for studying desalination technologies and water purification processes, advancing efforts to provide fresh water in regions affected by water scarcity. Overall, artificial seawater is a versatile tool that supports sustainable marine research, conservation, and innovative solutions for global water challenges.
